Every 4th Friday of the month downtown Tampa has a party of free (or pay-as-you-will) admission to local museums, art galleries, and local attractions.
I’d give you a link straight to the 4th Friday website, but at the time of this writing their website seems to be having some technical difficulties. Here is a direct link to a map of 4th Friday I found with participating locations.
So, instead, I’ll give you the rundown the best I can find right here.
When I have done 4th Friday in the past I simply went to a participating facility and they provided me with a green wrist band, which serves as your pass for everything.
The best part, IMO, is the green wristband gives you free rides on the TECO streetcar. Last time I went my wife and I went on the Riverwalk, explored the Tampa Museum of Art, and then took the street car to Ybor City for dinner. A wonderful night.

Information is surprisingly sparse. The 4th Friday website is down and their Facebook page is not up-to-date. The 4th Friday celebration is still occurring as I have seen it advertised on some of the participants’ websites, but it seems like there is a lack of a central place to get the latest information. I’ll keep digging into this to see if I can find some specific times for events and will add them on this post.
