Soon, Busch Gardens will be home to the world’s steepest and fastest hybrid roller coaster.
Gwazi is back in a new incarnation. The Rocky Mountain Construction company has already gotten to work on revamping the Gwazi location for a new, state-of-the-art hybrid roller coaster that will soar to over 200 feet, opening in 2020.
The new roller coaster will include elements of the original Gwazi structure in creating this new behemoth.
Details are scarce and I’m sure Busch Gardens will release us some teasers in the coming months, but this is about all we know right now.
This is huge news. The pace at which Busch Gardens is pumping out new, top-of-the-line, cutting-edge thrill rides is dizzying. This is coming right on the heels of the Tigris announcement.
This goes to show that Busch Gardens is not messing around and is freakin’ serious in claiming the title of Florida’s thrill ride leader.
