Kevin McCarty is an English professor at the University of Florida and has written extensively about the history of Florida. The only book I have read of his is Hillsborough River Guidebook which I read years ago, at the time I didn’t realize the book was written by a prolific Florida author.
I’m am definitely looking forward to reading many more of his books in the years to come. He also shares the same name as a movie star, most famous as the actor from the Invasion of the Body Snatchers. That is not our Kevin McCarty, that is somebody else. Our Kevin Mcarty writes excellent Florida history books and does not star in movies.
