Welcome to The Florida Explorer!

This blog was established in 2013 with the simple mission of “exploring everything Florida.” From art, music, books, history, daytrips, theme parks, and everything in between.

I strive to keep this a very active blog, with frequent new posts and updates to old posts in order to keep things as up-to-date as possible.

As a child I vacationed to Florida at least once a year with my family. We would take the typical beach vacation with at least one trip to a theme park. I fell in love with Florida during those times.

I moved to Florida permanently in 2007 after I finished up with college and have been here, more or less, ever since. I say “more or less” because I worked a YMCA summer camp in California and also spent two years working cruise ships that were primarily based out of Miami. Currently, I call Tampa home.

My commitment to you is to make this the best Florida blog that I can possibly make it. I hope my love for Florida shines through in each and every article I post and that this blog is a great Florida resource for you so that you to can get out there and explore everything Florida.
